Are you insured?
Yes we are! Horton’s Tree Service is covered with workman’s compensation and liability insurance. Upon request, we’ll provide a proof of insurance.
How can I get an estimate?
You can get a free estimate by contacting us through our phone or email. Our representative will also reach out to you when you fill out the form on our contact page.
Do I need to be home during the estimate?
No, most homeowners are working during the day, so we frequently provide our services even without our customers’ presence. It is helpful if they mark the tree by using spray paint or colored ribbons.
Do I need to be home for the work to be done?
It’s not necessary for homeowners to be present for us to proceed. However, we’ll try to accommodate your schedule if you wish to be home for the procedure.
When is the best time for tree trimming?
Trimming can be done any time of the year; however, certain species of trees should only be trimmed during dormant seasons such as late fall or winter.
Can I keep sections of the trees removed for firewood?
Yes, if it’s requested by the homeowner before the job is completed. We will cut the wood, determined to be quality firewood, into 18” lengths.
I had my tree removed. However, the stump is still here.
When the tree removal crew finishes the tree, the stump grinding team is notified. They will usually come out later that day or the following to remove the stumps(s). The mulch, dirt, and wood chips created by grinding out a stump are left on-site unless the customer specifically requests for them to be removed.
If you want us to remove the “stump grindings,” the crew will come back within an appropriate time period. We can provide this service at an additional service charge and the price will vary according to the size and location of the stump.
Note: Unless clearly marked, Horton’s Tree Service is not responsible for any underground irrigation or utilities including, but not limited to, gas, electric, or cable lines.
How do I pay?
We accept check, credit card, money order, or cash. You may pay the crew while they are there or we will leave you an invoice after the work is completed. Payments are due within 10 days.
