Horton’s Tree Service offers tree removal, trimming, and much more. Our scope of work includes residential, commercial, and public work.

Our Areas of Focus

You can expect a thorough cleanup regardless of the size of the tree, since we haul the logs and branches away for you. We always do our best to minimize the impact of the process on your property.

We will trim the branches and crown based on your preference. It’s up to you whether you simply want light pruning or a thorough reduction. Prices vary depending on the cut’s degree of difficulty. We encourage you to express your expectations so that our representative can give you an accurate quote.

When a natural calamity strikes, it’s not unusual for homes to sustain destruction. After a storm, we’ll make sure to clear your property of hazardous debris and damaged trees. For decades, we have been cautiously removing collapsed trunks and branches off of roofs, decks, fences, and cars with tremendous efficiency.

There’s not a task too big or too small to handle. That’s why we take care of hedges, shrubs, and bushes that need to be trimmed, shaped, or removed as well. We also offer the services listed below.

  • Bush and Shrub Trimming, Shaping, or Removal
  • Stump Grinding and Removal of Debris
  • Commercial and Residential Site Clearing and Preparation

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you insured?
Yes we are! Horton’s Tree Service is covered with workman’s compensation and liability insurance. Upon request, we’ll provide a proof of insurance.

How can I get an estimate?
You can get a free estimate by contacting us through our phone or email. Our representative will also reach out to you when you fill out the form on our contact page.

Do I need to be home during the estimate?
No, most homeowners are working during the day, so we frequently provide our services even without our customers’ presence. It is helpful if they mark the tree by using spray paint or colored ribbons.

Do I need to be home for the work to be done?
It’s not necessary for homeowners to be present for us to proceed. However, we’ll try to accommodate your schedule if you wish to be home for the procedure.

When is the best time for tree trimming?
Trimming can be done any time of the year; however, certain species of trees should only be trimmed during dormant seasons such as late fall or winter.

Can I keep sections of the trees removed for firewood?
Yes, if it’s requested by the homeowner before the job is completed. We will cut the wood, determined to be quality firewood, into 18” lengths.

I had my tree removed. However, the stump is still here.
When the tree removal crew finishes the tree, the stump grinding team is notified. They will usually come out later that day or the following to remove the stumps(s). The mulch, dirt, and wood chips created by grinding out a stump are left on-site unless the customer specifically requests for them to be removed.

If you want us to remove the “stump grindings,” the crew will come back within an appropriate time period. We can provide this service at an additional service charge and the price will vary according to the size and location of the stump.

Note: Unless clearly marked, Horton’s Tree Service is not responsible for any underground irrigation or utilities including, but not limited to, gas, electric, or cable lines.

How do I pay?
We accept check, credit card, money order, or cash. You may pay the crew while they are there or we will leave you an invoice after the work is completed. Payments are due within 10 days.
